Tucked deep within the stillness of 400 private acres in the Catskills, Rippling Waters is a sanctuary carved by nature and intention. What now stands as a handcrafted 6,000-square-foot lodge was once untouched wilderness. Every trail cleared, every board milled, every stone laid was part of a vision brought to life. Dr. Laura Maneates, co-founder and designer, shaped the home from the inside out—her thoughtful eye woven into every curve of woodwork and beam of light. From stairways to crown molding, the entire house was built using timber milled from the land itself. This is not just a retreat center—it’s a living testament to transformation, created from the ground up with love, purpose, and soul.
Our weekend workshops offer a rare pause—a chance to reconnect in a setting where deep privacy, natural beauty, and meaningful structure create the ideal conditions for personal change. Guests stay in one of five private bedrooms within the Main House, each with its own bathroom, or choose from three separate private accommodations on the property: the Stable Apartment, the Carriage House, or the secluded Cabin in the Woods. No matter where you stay, you’ll be welcomed into warmth, simplicity, and stillness.
At the heart of the Main House is a Tulikivi wood-fired stove with a built-in pizza oven. Communal spaces invite real conversation and connection, while the lounge level offers ping pong, foosball, darts, and a cozy theater nook. There’s also a cedar sauna and a small gym for movement and release. Outside, broad mahogany decks overlook a private, spring-fed lake—stocked for beauty and reflection. As day fades, guests often gather around the lakeside fire pit for stargazing, storytelling, and quiet communion beneath the open sky.
And then, there’s the life of the land itself. A resident bald eagle watches over the water. A great blue heron glides silently across the lake at dawn. Osprey, deer, and countless others make their home here, drawn by the stillness and safety of a place where no hunting is allowed and where the wild is welcomed, not feared. The same peace that draws them, draws us.
These aren’t vacation weekends. They’re sacred immersions—crafted to awaken what’s real, reconnect what’s lost, and remember who we are beneath the noise.
