Tucked at the end of a half-mile private drive and surrounded by 400 acres of unspoiled wilderness, the Main Lodge at Lakeside is the heart of our retreat center—a custom-built masterpiece where every detail tells a story.
Milled entirely from the timber of the land itself, this one-of-a-kind lodge features hand-crafted flooring, intricate crown moldings, bespoke kitchen cabinetry, and a stunning circular staircase—each element echoing the craftsmanship and soul of the space.
The lodge offers five spacious double-occupancy bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, blending comfort and privacy in equal measure. At its center, the radiant Tulikivi soapstone stove provides gentle, even warmth, drawing guests together in a space made for reflection, connection, and rest.
Downstairs, you’ll find a welcoming basement sanctuary complete with a sauna, ping-pong, foosball, a movie lounge, and a workout area—spaces for both play and rejuvenation.
A chef’s kitchen serves up healthy, flavorful meals to nourish the body and soul, while lakeside mahogany porches offer tranquil views of the forest, wildlife, and still waters—perfect for morning coffee, quiet journaling, or evening stargazing beneath the crystal-clear sky.
Just a short walk from the stables, the lodge is both secluded and central, making it an ideal space for deep inner work, shared meals, or simply breathing deeply in a place where time finally slows down.
The Carriage House
Private, peaceful, and just steps away from the heart of it all.
Located just across from the Main Lodge, The Carriage House offers the perfect balance of privacy and proximity. With views of the lake and just a short stroll from daily activities, it’s ideal for the man who wants his own quiet space while still being close to the group.
French doors open to a serene garden area with a table and chairs, creating the perfect setting to sip coffee at sunrise or stargaze under the open sky. Inside, you’ll find a spacious modern kitchen, hardwood floors throughout, a welcoming living room, and a cozy single bedroom with a queen bed. The full bath is clean and comfortable, adding to the home-like feel of the space.
Guests of the Carriage House enjoy full access to all Main Lodge amenities, including the sauna, movie lounge, workout area, common spaces, and the warmth of the Tulikivi stone hearth.
The Stable Apartment
A quiet perch above the stables for those who feel at home among horses and solitude.
Just a five-minute walk down a tree-lined country driveway from the Main Lodge, The Stable Apartment offers a rustic, comfortable, and private escape for the man who seeks stillness, solitude, and the steady presence of horses.
Located just above the stables, the apartment features a private porch with a small table and chairs, offering peaceful views of the lawn, lake, and small boat dock—a perfect spot for morning reflection or a quiet evening wind-down.
Inside, you’ll find a full kitchen, full bath, and a queen-size bed—simple, clean, and thoughtfully appointed. A window overlooks the indoor riding arena, offering a unique view into the rhythm and grace of the horses below.
In addition to its charm and seclusion, the Stable Apartment includes full access to all Main Lodge amenities—from the sauna and game room to the workout space and shared meals.
Thoreau’s Cabin in the Woods
For the man who finds peace in the quiet and knows his way around a flame.
Tucked away among the trees and just a few minutes’ walk from the Main Lodge along a wooded trail, Thoreau’s Cabin offers the most secluded and rugged lodging experience on the property—without sacrificing comfort.
This 350 sq ft private cabin includes a queen-size bed, full bathroom, and an efficiency kitchen. The porch overlooks a peaceful lawn at the forest’s edge, where deer often wander and quiet comes naturally. Out front, a dedicated firepit waits for the man who knows how to build heat and light with his own hands.
Even in its solitude, the cabin includes full access to all Main Lodge amenities, allowing guests to join in community meals, use the sauna, or relax by the Tulikivi stove whenever they choose.
